Description

A refreshing and delightful recipe that perfectly balances savory and sweet, featuring vibrant watermelon salsa served with crispy cinnamon tortilla chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups watermelon, diced
  • 1 cup red onion, diced
  • 1 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tortillas (flour or corn)
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Combine the diced watermelon, red onion, and chopped cilantro in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Squeeze in the lime juice and sprinkle with salt. Gently toss the ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Brush both sides of the tortillas with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Cut the tortillas into triangles and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy and lightly golden.
  6. Serve the chips alongside your Watermelon Salsa.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the salsa to chill in the fridge for about an hour before serving. You can also customize the salsa with ingredients like jalapeños or substitute cilantro with mint.
