Description

A warm, gooey strawberry cheesecake French toast bake filled with cream cheese and fresh strawberries, perfect for brunch.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread (such as brioche or challah)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, quartered
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Optional: powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cut the loaf of bread into cubes and layer half in the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Blend the cream cheese and sugar until smooth; spread half over the bread layer.
  4. Sprinkle half of the strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Add the remaining bread cubes on top, followed by the rest of the cream cheese mixture and strawberries.
  6. Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined; pour evenly over the bread.
  7. Cover with foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  8. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding blueberries or raspberries as variations.
