- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the pastry into rectangular pieces, approximately 3×4 inches.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each puff pastry rectangle.
- Fold the edges of the pastry up over the filling, creating a pocket.
- Brush the surfaces of each pastry with the beaten egg.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze if desired.
Notes
Thaw puff pastry overnight for best results. Be sure your cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
