- 1 pie crust
- 2 cups cherries, pitted and halved
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cherries, blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed.
- Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
- Pour the fruit filling into the crust.
- Use extra pie crust to cut out star shapes and place them on top of the filling.
- Brush the top with the egg wash (mix egg with milk).
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling.
- Let cool before serving.
