Description

A simple and delicious peach cobbler made with just three ingredients that captures the essence of summer sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15–16 oz each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup or juice (do not drain)
  • 1 box (about 15.25 oz) yellow cake mix (white or vanilla cake mix can be substituted)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted; 1 stick; salted butter is fine)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour both cans of sliced peaches with their liquid into the prepared dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches.
  4. If desired, sprinkle ground cinnamon, nutmeg, or a pinch of salt over the cake mix.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the surface of the cake mix.
  6. Bake for 40–50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly, checking for doneness around 35 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy topping, broil for the last few minutes of baking. Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months.
