Description

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup cold butter (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, eggnog, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped nuts if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cold butter, and flour until crumbly and sprinkle over the batter.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
