Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, eggnog, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped nuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cold butter, and flour until crumbly and sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Notes
For added indulgence, consider drizzling a glaze made of powdered sugar and eggnog over the cooled bread.
