Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners and fill each about 2/3 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
