- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup M&M candies (red, pink, and white)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the M&M candies and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate for a week. Freezing is also an option for longer storage.
