Description

Delightful homemade cream puffs filled with raspberry whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate, perfect for Valentine’s Day celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 6 ounces fresh raspberries
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
  • Valentine’s sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Thaw the pastry for about an hour until pliable.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  3. Make the egg wash by combining egg and water.
  4. Cut the pastry with a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  5. Arrange the cut pastries on a lined baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Mash raspberries with half of the sugar.
  9. Whip the cream until soft peaks form, then add vanilla and remaining sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Fold mashed raspberry mixture into whipped cream.
  11. Fill pastries with raspberry whipped cream.
  12. Melt chocolate and drizzle over cream puffs.
  13. Garnish with Valentine’s sprinkles.
  14. Chill for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  15. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Best served cold. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
