Description

Rich and chewy chocolate cookies packed with cocoa powder and chocolate chips for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm.
  8. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking.
