Description

Deliciously crispy and airy tree-shaped meringue cookies, perfect for holiday gatherings and festive decorations.


Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Green food coloring
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form and the mixture is glossy.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and a few drops of green food coloring until well combined.
  5. Transfer the meringue mixture to a piping bag and pipe tree shapes onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until dry and crisp, then turn off the oven and cool them inside.
  7. Once cooled, decorate with sprinkles and enjoy!

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. They can last for a week, but consume them sooner if you’re in a humid area.
