- 4 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Stir in the brown sugar until well combined and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and salt.
- In a large bowl, pour the Chex cereal and drizzle the butter-sugar mixture over it, gently folding until coated.
- Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Let cool completely before serving.
