Description

Delicious churro donut bites covered in cinnamon sugar, bringing joy and nostalgia in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; whisk to blend.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth and slightly frothy.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot, about 2-3 inches deep, until ready.
  5. Drop small balls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. While frying, mix together the coating sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  7. Remove churro bites from oil, drain on paper towels, and toss in the cinnamon sugar mix while warm.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy with friends and family.

Notes

For an extra touch, consider adding a drizzle of warm chocolate sauce or caramel for dipping. Best enjoyed fresh out of the fryer!
