- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup white miso paste
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and miso paste until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and sesame seeds.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Allow cookies to cool completely before storing them. They can be frozen for up to three months.
