Description

A dreamy dessert that’s light, fluffy, and bursting with bright, citrusy flavor from fresh orange and rich white chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Egg whites from 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Start by melting the chopped white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water. Stir until smooth, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in the melted white chocolate, orange zest, and orange juice until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the mousse mixture.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Chill mixing bowls and beaters for better volume. Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
