- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the warm milk, softened butter, and eggs until well combined.
- Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
- After the dough rises, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the surface of the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly to create a log, giving it a twist to make the swirl pattern.
- Place the log in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and allow it to rise again for 45 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and enjoy!
