Description

A delightful dessert combining the classic flavors of tiramisu and the festive presentation of a Yule log.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup coffee, brewed and cooled
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup of coffee and let it cool. Add rum or coffee liqueur if desired.
  2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream to soft peaks, then add sugar and vanilla extract, blending well. Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese.
  3. Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee and line them up on a platter to form a log shape.
  4. Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat dipping and layering as desired.
  5. Cover the log with remaining mascarpone mixture and smooth the top.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.

Notes

Make-ahead friendly and can be customized with different flavors. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days.
