Description

A cozy blend of chocolatey goodness and pumpkin spice, these fudgy brownies are perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, and cinnamon. Spread this mixture over the brownie batter.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the pumpkin layer and swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or dust with powdered sugar. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
