- 6 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced pears with lemon juice.
- In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), melted butter, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
- In a greased 8-inch square baking dish, layer the pears, then sprinkle the topping over them.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and pears are bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
