Description

A simple and comforting cinnamon tea cake, perfect for cozy afternoons and unexpected visits from friends.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk or plant-based milk
  • 2 large eggs or flax eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the vegetable oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
