Description

A nostalgic and creamy chocolate fudge recipe that melts in your mouth, perfect for sharing or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and whole milk. Stir the mixture gently until everything is well combined.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Cook while stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the unsalted butter and vanilla extract until fully combined and smooth.
  5. If using, fold in the chopped nuts for extra texture and flavor.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan, spreading it evenly. Allow the fudge to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Use a candy thermometer for precision to ensure the fudge reaches around 235°F for perfect texture.
