- 2–3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Add the flour and mix until just combined—be careful not to overmix!
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For best results, use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. Customize with nuts or chocolate chips as desired.
