Ingredients

- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- Glaze (optional): powdered sugar, milk, flavorings like matcha or chocolate
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together glutinous rice flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Use a piping bag or spoon to drop the batter into the hot oil in donut shapes.
- Fry until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
- Allow to cool slightly before dipping in glaze or topping as desired.
Notes
Store cooled donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days; refrigerate for up to a week; or freeze for up to a month.
