Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate kisses, unwrapped
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
