Description

A refreshing dessert featuring creamy coconut milk, ripe mangoes, and chewy sago pearls, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangos
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sago pearls
  • 2 cups water
  • Sugar to taste
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sago pearls under cold water to remove excess starch, then soak for about 30 minutes.
  2. Boil 2 cups of water in a pot and add the soaked sago pearls.
  3. Cook the pearls for about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until they turn translucent.
  4. Drain the pearls and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  5. Create a mixture by combining the cooked sago pearls with coconut milk and sweetening it to taste with sugar.
  6. Add the diced ripe mangos, folding them gently into the coconut and sago mixture.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  8. Serve in bowls, garnished with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For an extra touch, top with honey or toasted coconut. Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
