Description

A delightful confection that brings a sprinkle of magic to your day with its vibrant colors and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon flavor extract (e.g., vanilla, peppermint)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir it all together over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Once the sugar has melted, bring the mixture to a boil without stirring until the temperature reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for a minute. Add your chosen flavor extract and any food coloring you fancy, then mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet or slab and spread it out gently. Let it cool completely.
  5. Once set, break into pieces and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking. Enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container to keep the candy fresh and crunchy for up to two weeks.
