- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of your choice of jam
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the unsalted butter and light brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread your choice of jam over the dough layer.
- Crumble the remaining half of the dough over the top of the jam.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares or rectangles.
Notes
