Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
  6. On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a rope about 6 inches long.
  7. Shape each rope into a knot and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Let them cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
