- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
- On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a rope about 6 inches long.
- Shape each rope into a knot and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Let them cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
