Description

A delightful gluten-free cake infused with fresh orange zest and almond flour, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 medium orange, zested and juiced
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until pale and fluffy.
  4. Add the orange zest and juice to the mixture, followed by the melted butter. Mix until combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Once baked, let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
