Description

A delightful dessert combining creamy honey labneh and zesty double-citrus curd, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. To make honey labneh, strain the yogurt in a cheesecloth for 12-24 hours until thick.
  2. Mix the strained yogurt with honey until smooth and silky.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, orange juice, zest, sugar, and salt.
  4. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring continuously.
  5. Gradually add the cream cheese to the mixture, stirring until it thickens.
  6. Let both components cool before refrigerating.
  7. Serve chilled for the best flavors.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the fridge for up to a week. The labneh can be frozen, but texture may change.
