Description

Delicious and customizable cereal bars made from wholesome ingredients, perfect for a quick snack or breakfast.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nut butter (like peanut or almond butter)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or dried fruits
  • 1/2 cup nuts or seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, nut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  2. Stir in the mini chocolate chips and nuts or seeds if using.
  3. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the dish in an even layer.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes until set.
  6. Cut into bars and store in an airtight container.

Notes

For a chewy snack, aim for the bars to be slightly soft before cutting.
