Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale and thick.
  4. Mix the melted chocolate into the egg mixture until combined.
  5. Fold in the flour and salt gently.
  6. Divide the batter among the ramekins.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm and the center is soft.
  8. Let cool briefly before inverting onto plates and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Do not overbake to ensure a molten center. You can prepare the batter ahead and refrigerate before baking.
