- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter.
- Melt the butter and chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale and thick.
- Mix the melted chocolate into the egg mixture until combined.
- Fold in the flour and salt gently.
- Divide the batter among the ramekins.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm and the center is soft.
- Let cool briefly before inverting onto plates and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Do not overbake to ensure a molten center. You can prepare the batter ahead and refrigerate before baking.
