- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler, stirring until smooth and glossy.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.
- Sift in cocoa powder and salt, folding gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the center is set but still slightly moist.
- Let it cool before serving.
