Description

Create a stunning Galaxy Mirror Glaze Cake that’s not only visually impressive but also delicious, perfect for celebrations or as a showstopper dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 100 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 sheets of gelatin
  • Food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Grease a 23 cm round cake pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sweetened condensed milk until well combined.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool the cake completely in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.
  6. Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for a few minutes, then gently heat with 2-3 tablespoons of water until dissolved.
  7. Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the dissolved gelatin, adding food coloring to create the galaxy effect and mixing well.
  8. Place the cooled cake on a wire rack over a tray and pour the glaze evenly over the cake, letting it drip down the sides. Allow to set.
  9. Slice and serve your stunning creation!

Notes

Garnish with edible flowers and serve with fresh berries for a delightful touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
