Description

Indulge in a rich and fudgy Flourless Chocolate Cake that’s gluten-free and easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or a microwave, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until pale and fluffy.
  4. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
  5. Sift in the cocoa powder and salt, then fold gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cake has set but is still soft in the center.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
  9. Serve as is or with whipped cream or berries.

Use quality dark chocolate for the best flavor. Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.
