Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by gathering all ingredients and tools.
- In a saucepan, mix the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage), remove it from the heat and quickly add the citric acid and baking soda.
- Stir in your desired flavoring and food coloring until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a silicone mold or onto parchment paper, spreading it evenly.
- Allow the candy to cool and set for about 30 minutes.
- Dust the pieces lightly with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
- Enjoy your fizzing candy right away or package it in airtight containers for later.
