Description

Delightful rolls coated in butter and colorful sprinkles, reminiscent of childhood memories.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of active dry yeast (about 2¼ teaspoons)
  • 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F or 43°C)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup colorful sprinkles (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until bubbly and frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover again and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
  8. While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle generously with colorful sprinkles.
  10. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the magic!

Notes

Serve warm and consider drizzling more melted butter on top with more sprinkles for added flair.
