Description
Delightful rolls coated in butter and colorful sprinkles, reminiscent of childhood memories.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet of active dry yeast (about 2¼ teaspoons)
- 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F or 43°C)
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup colorful sprinkles (plus extra for topping)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until bubbly and frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a dough forms.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a small ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Cover again and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
- While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle generously with colorful sprinkles.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the magic!
Notes
Serve warm and consider drizzling more melted butter on top with more sprinkles for added flair.
