Ingredients

  • 2 cans of sliced peaches in syrup
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Stir in the milk and melted butter until smooth. Mix in the vanilla extract for that extra layer of flavor.
  4. Prepare for baking: Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. Add peaches: Carefully pour the canned peaches (with syrup) over the batter. Note: do not stir!
  6. Bake: Pop your dish into the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
