Ingredients

  • 1 package of ready-made puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll it out gently.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares (about 3-4 inches each).
  4. Place a small spoonful of chocolate chips in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners of each pastry square over the chocolate filling, sealing the edges with a fork.
  6. Beat the egg and brush the top of each pastry with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
