A fresh and zesty twist on the classic dessert, combining creamy mascarpone with lemon and coffee-soaked ladyfingers.

- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 12–16 ladyfinger cookies
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, brew the coffee and let it cool.
- Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee quickly, ensuring they don’t get too soggy.
- Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled, garnished with extra lemon zest if desired.
Notes
Serve in individual dessert glasses for an elegant presentation, and pair with fresh mint or extra lemon zest for garnish.
