Description

Delightful and easy-to-make muffins filled with the warmth of cinnamon and the natural sweetness of applesauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease lightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix applesauce, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
