Description

Delightful chocolate eclairs with a light choux pastry and creamy filling, drizzled with rich chocolate ganache.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Choux Pastry: In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the water and butter. Bring this mixture to a boil over medium heat, then add the flour and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Add the Eggs: Remove from heat and stir in the eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy.
  4. Pipe the Eclairs: On a lined baking sheet, use a piping bag to form strips of dough, about 4 inches long.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Cool Down: Let the baked eclairs cool on a wire rack.
  7. Whip the Cream: Beat heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  8. Fill the Eclairs: Poke holes in each end of the cooled eclair and fill with whipped cream.
  9. Prepare the Chocolate Ganache: Melt dark chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth.
  10. Coat the Eclairs: Drizzle or dip filled eclairs in chocolate ganache.
