Description

Delightful cookies that combine the classic chocolate chip flavor with a satisfying crunch from crispy rice cereal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the crispy rice cereal and chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
