Description

Soft, chewy cookies bursting with tangy cranberries and bright orange zest.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in cranberries, orange zest, and orange juice.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For softer cookies, do not bake them too long; they should look slightly underdone in the center.
