Description

A sweet and tart dessert featuring fresh cranberries and tender cooked apples topped with a buttery, crumbly topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix sliced apples, cranberries, sugar, and lemon juice, then pour into a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit mixture.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
