- 1 package of puff pastry sheets
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios (optional, for garnish)
- Cocoa powder or extra powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and fit them into a greased baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Then fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Spread the ricotta mixture over the puff pastry evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Allow to cool, then cut into squares.
- Garnish with chopped pistachios and dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar if desired.
