- 1 beaten egg for brushing
- 1 sheet of thawed puff pastry
- 60g melted unsalted butter
- 50g white sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface.
- Coat the pastry with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
- Slice the dough into 2.5cm wide strips and twist them.
- Brush the twists with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a sweet glaze, mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk or lemon juice and drizzle over pastries.
