Description

Indulge in these soft and chewy blondies that combine classic snickerdoodle flavors with the richness of blonde brownies, featuring a swirl of cinnamon sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and remaining granulated sugar for the swirl.
  6. Spread half of the blondie batter in the prepared pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then layer the remaining batter and top with the remaining cinnamon-sugar.
  7. Gently swirl with a knife and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing into bars and serving.
