Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate ganache

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set.
  9. Once cooled, fill the centers with chocolate ganache.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Chill the dough if it’s too soft and experiment with different fillings like fruit preserves.
