Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk, warm
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually add this liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl and cover. Let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Once risen, roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread melted butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and chocolate chips.
  6. Carefully roll up the dough tightly and slice into even rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
